The Drug Discovery Process: Concepts and Strategies

This course will give an introductor background to the drug discovery process. From the in silico design and screening of compounds potentially active to modulate a pharmaceutical target, to the world of combinatorial libraries, drug delivery systems and ADME concepts, complemented by the vision of the industrial sector and the patent protection strategies.

The course will contain also practical sessions on the use of some of the in silico tools commented at the theoretical level.
