CESCA

The Centre de Serveis Científics i Acadèmics de Catalunya (CESCA) provides services to universities and research centers. We are a public consortium created in 1991 and have been recognized as a singular science and technology infrastructure (ICTS) by the former Ministry of Science and Innovation since 2000.

We are composed of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Fundació Institució Catalana de Suport a la Recerca (FICSR), nine Catalan universities (UB, UAB, UPC, UPF, UdG, URV, UdL, UOC, and URL), and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).

    We have been providing services to public and private universities, research centers and institutes, and other entities which participate in R&D and innovation projects for 20 years.

    We have various governing and advisory bodies, and a staff of personnel distributed throughout the departments and units.

  • Areas of Activity

    We provide a wide range of services such as supercomputing, communications, advanced communications, digital repositories and e-administration.

  • Projects and Collaborations

    We participate on R&D and innovation projects and collaborate on research initiatives, both public and private.

  • Technology Infrastructure

    We offer a specialized, flexible, and scalable technology infrastructure with the creation of virtualized environments.

  • Pressroom

    We will disseminate the most important news items via press releases and provide graphic materials, such as the logos of the Center and our services.
